‘Big Brother 26’ episode 19 recap: Who won Week 6 Head of Household? [LIVE BLOG]

Heading into the 19th episode of “Big Brother 26,” Brooklyn Rivera had just been evicted by an 8-to-1 vote over Cam Sullivan-Brown. That left just 11 players still in the running to win the $750,000 grand prize, and all but outgoing Head of Household Tucker Des Lauriers were able to compete in the impending Week 6 HOH competition. So who won the power, and which three people did they nominate for eviction?

9:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the 18th episode, the three nominees (Brooklyn, Cam and Chelsie) competed live in the A.I. Arena, with Chelsie eking out a victory. The house then had a mad scramble session, with Brooklyn begging and pleading to stay in the game. Alas, the players voted one by one to send Brooklyn packing, with only Chelsie voting to keep her. “I came here to play a loyal game to the first people that asked me to be on their team,” she told Julie during her exit interview. “I stand by that. I wasn’t going to lie after the fact, so I owned up to my choices.”

9:02 p.m. – Brooklyn’s eviction felt like “mission accomplished” for Tucker who had his sights set on her from the beginning of his HOH reign. Winning the A.I. Arena and guaranteeing her own safety also gave Chelsie a success, worried that her position as a replacement nom could have been an attempt to backdoor her.

9:04 p.m. – Leah felt like she “had no other choice” but to go with the house vote to help evict one of her best friends in the house. Having to cast a vote against her own best wishes underscored that she feels like she’s on the periphery of the game.

9:11 p.m. – To determine the next HOH, the houseguests competed in the sound- and video-based question and answer contest “Sound Bites.” The players that got the first question wrong and were eliminated were Angela and Quinn. Eliminated after the second question was Leah, Kimo, Makensy and Cam. Eliminated after the third question was Joseph, Chelsie and Rubina which meant that T’Kor was the automatic winner after only three rounds.

9:22 p.m. – Though she was excited to have power this week, T’Kor was keenly aware that she’s in a precarious position now because she’s been playing the middle between multiple and overlapping groups of people. Right away, Cam was worried that he could be in trouble this week and Makensy was wondering why everyone was following T’Kor around “like lost puppies,” insinuating that they were kissing up to the new HOH.

9:26 p.m. – Obviously Kimo and Rubina felt comfortable with T’Kor having the power this week, but Joseph and Leah were other players feeling safe. They felt like their loyalty in the last few votes would keep them off the block this week. Though Joseph is part of the Sixth Avenue alliance with T’Kor, the original four members (T’Kor, Rubina, Kimo and Tucker) did not feel like they’d need to keep Joseph and Angela protected through the entire game. As such, they formed the new sub-alliance, Friendzzzz.

9:30 p.m. – Later, Tucker was brought in to the diary room with news that America had voted him as the A.I. Instigator for the week with the intent of spreading misinformation. It would be up to him to choose a player avatar and dictate what they say to the house at his own discretion, all with a chance of earning up to $20,000 in a subsequent America’s vote.

9:37 p.m. – For his first act, Tucker chose the Quinn avatar to declare that the house should have gotten Rubina out when they had the chance because “Tucker wouldn’t have been able to handle it.” He also ended it with: “Pentagon for life.” No one understand why a message like that was delivered to them, weighing the option that it would be something to memorize for a future comp or another power upgrade that someone earned. Immediately, Rubina got in her feelings and wanted to know why someone would put her name in there to make her seem like a threat. Tucker took her up to the HOH room to console her, but obviously could not disclose his role as the instigator. He thought he was trying to “clear the air” in a fun way so that they wouldn’t have to hide their showmance, but that is not how Rubina took it.

9:45 p.m. – As soon as Angela’s time on slop expired, she dove in for the BLT sandwich of her dreams alongside Joseph and Kimo. It was no charcuterie, of course, but it was “everything [she’d] been fantasizing about for days.”

9:46 p.m. – When Chelsie got her one-on-one time with T’Kor, she was surprised to hear that she was one of the handful of people in the house that would be absolutely safe this week. The two of them committed to having each other’s backs until the end of the game. In other convos: Makensy called Quinn the biggest threat and noted that Angela seems protected, Leah avoided throwing out any names, Cam said that he doesn’t “personally” have a target yet he feels targeted, and Tucker actually offered to be a pawn despite not wanting to actually be nominated.

9:51 p.m. – In one of her last conversations, Angela came into the HOH room in full-out tears to confess that she feels like she’s going home this week, but T’Kor, Kimo and Rubina were all perplexed why she even felt in danger. T’Kor assured her that she wasn’t even being considered.

9:56 p.m. – At the nomination ceremony, T’Kor revealed the digital portraits of Makensy, Cam and Tucker as her three nominees. She said that the decision was difficult for her given the smaller pool of people to choose from and she hopes that one of them wins the veto to take themselves off the block.
