France refuses to comment on arrest of Telegram CEO

PARIS, France - The founder and CEO of Telegram, 39-year-old Russian billionaire Pavel Durov has been sensationally arrested while passing through France.

The arrest has caused major backlash from Russia, and X's Elon Musc, who claimed the arrest demonstrates free speech is under attack in Europe.

Telegram, an encrypted messaging platform, is based in Dubai and has more than a billion users.
