Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray questioned the revenue generation from introducing cheetahs at Kuno Park in Madhya Pradesh, citing the success of penguins at Mumbai zoo. Thackeray highlighted the financial benefits of penguins in Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Botanical Udyan managed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). He spearheaded the penguin launch project and the 'Project Cheetah', a large wild carnivore translocation initiative, which saw the successful transfer of cheetahs to Kuno Park.
