High school football: Live updates from Friday’s games
Teams are ready for their first kickoff of the 2024 high school football season.
Football fans are ready, too, for their first taste of “Friday night lights” since last fall.
And so is the Southern California News Group, which has the largest group of reporters and photographers covering high school football in this region. (We’re in the Valleys — San Fernando and San Gabriel — close to the beaches — South Bay and Long Beach — and throughout Orange County and the Inland region.)
We’ll have the most games covered, most photos, most updates — every week of the season.
Reporter John W. Davis will be serving as our Friday Night Football host, making sure you see the best highlights, get the scores that you want and know what’s happening at the biggest games.
We’ll be here pregame, halftime, postgame — it’s a full night of coverage.
Inglewood QB Kingston Tisdell’s transfer is finally cleared. Kickoff against Villa Park coming up in an hour plus.
