Man sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for sex crimes, robbery
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison on Friday after pleading guilty to multiple sex crimes, burglary and robbery, authorities said.
Daniel Allen Bueler, 34, is currently in custody in Multnomah County and will be transported to the Oregon Department of Corrections to carry out his sentence, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office said.
The various crimes all occurred in separate incidents in 2022 and 2023, officials said.
In a release, the DA's office listed the details of the crimes and when they happened:
"In June 2022, Bueler approached an individual who was walking in Argay Park and sexually assaulted them at gunpoint; in August 2022, Bueler broke into an occupied residence and stole over $1,000 worth of goods; in March 2023, Bueler again broke into an occupied residence where a woman woke up to find him standing over her displaying an apparent weapon before stealing belongings; and several hours later, Bueler sexually assaulted a woman and threatened her with a weapon."
Bueler entered his guilty plea on the charges as part of a plea deal on Aug. 2. On Friday, a judge sentenced him to 245 months in prison on charges of first-degree sex abuse, first-degree sodomy, second-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
