Man, 50, shot in leg during broad-daylight botched robbery at NYC grocery store: cops

The gunman barged into Royal Supermarket on Eighth Avenue near 15th Street -- down the block from Prospect Park in South Slope -- around 3 p.m., flashed a gun and demanded cash, police said.
