Supermarket employee shot in Brooklyn: NYPD
PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting inside a supermarket in Brooklyn Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened at 1:01 p.m. inside the Royal Supermarket at 1419 8th Ave. A suspect entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint, police said.
The suspect then got into a fight with a store employee and fired three shots, striking the employee once in the leg, according to the NYPD.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police described the suspect as a male wearing a black shirt, army pants, and white sneakers. He was last seen fleeing south on 8th Avenue.
