Ballston Lake restaurant permanently closes its doors
Finnigan’s on the Lake, located at 175 Lake Road in Ballston Lake, has closed for good. Owners Matt and Stephanie Finnigan made the announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
Troy Pig Out winners announced
The results are in! The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District has announced the winners of the Troy Pig Out.
Capital Region restaurant inspections: August 12-16
These are the inspections from August 12 to 16 reported by the NYSDOH divided up by critical violations, non-critical violations, and no violations. You can find a list of all restaurant inspections for the last several years on the NYSDOH website.
Druthers Brewing Company to manage Blackbirds Tavern
Druthers Brewing Company will be in charge of managing the Voorheesville restaurant Blackbirds Tavern opening in the fall. This is under a new agreement with Business for Good co-founders Ed and Liza Mitzen.
Americana restaurant in Tannersville closing for good
Nat’s Mountain House, located at 6589 Route 23A in Tannersville, is closing its doors. The restaurant made the announcement on the Nat’s Mountain House Instagram page on August 14.
Smoothie cafe opens location in Latham
The restaurant chain Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe has opened a location in Latham. This is the chain’s first location in upstate New York.
With new owner, Glens Falls eatery changing its name
A Glens Falls restaurant is getting ready to change it’s name with a final farewell. Craft on 9 will be known as Southpaw Bistro after Saturday, August 24.
Soul food eatery opens its doors in Gloversville
A new restaurant serving Southern cuisine has opened in Gloversville. Adirondack Soul Company, located at 60 North Main Street, opened on August 12 for its soft opening.
