Woman punched during anti-Muslim hate crime in Brooklyn: NYPD
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman was viciously attacked during an anti-Muslim hate crime in Brooklyn on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.
It happened inside of 139 Flatbush Ave. A 34-year-old woman was approached by a man, who allegedly punched her in the face multiple times, per police.
The suspect allegedly made anti-Muslim remarks to the woman during the assault, according to authorities. He fled on foot, traveling westbound on Atlantic Avenue.
The victim suffered minor injuries, per police.
The suspect is described as between 16 to 20 years old. He was last seen wearing a black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, white sneakers and carrying a book bag.
