Boy, 16, critically wounded in Bronx shooting: NYPD
NEW YORK (PIX11) – A 16-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting in the Bronx early Friday morning, according to the NYPD.
It happened inside 1455 Bryant Ave. in Crotona Park just before 1 a.m. The teenager was shot once in the neck, per police.
He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, according to authorities.
The teenager was on the back of a scooter when he was shot, per police. The driver was a man wearing all back.
The NYPD is still looking for a suspect and motive. The shooting was about a block away from where a FedEx driver was shot on Thursday.
The two shootings are not believed to be connected, according to authorities.
