FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Thursday Evening,

After another cool start to the day, we had a nice turnaround this afternoon into the upper 70s. We will see winds relax to become light to calm tonight, with lows in the low/mid 50s in town, and upper 40s outside the city.

High pressure will stay in place through the weekend and build. It will gradually move off to the southeast and tap into more heat and humidity. Temps will top in the mid 80s for Friday, with numbers falling to around 80 at kickoff for week 1 of Football Friday Nite. Temps will fall into the lower 70s during the games.

The weekend will be warmer with a few clouds returning, and highs in the upper 80s Saturday, to lower 90s on Sunday. Next work week will be hot, with humidity increasing, which will take highs Monday and Tuesday in the low to mid 90s, and push the feels like temps into the mid to upper 90s. We will have to watch for a stray pop-up shower during the heat of the afternoons both days.

Wednesday, we will have a very weak front slide across the area, that will bring some clouds, and a wind shift with it. At this time, it looks like this front will come through with not much of a chance of showers with it unfortunately. Highs will drop to the lower 90s on Wednesday, and behind the front on Thursday will fall to around 90 with mostly sunny skies.
