Southern Arizona man sought for alleged threats against Trump as candidate visits border

Authorities in southern Arizona are seeking a 66-year-old man for alleged death threats against former President Donald Trump on social media. The Cochise County Sheriff's Office made the announcement the same day that the Republican 2024 candidate was in the area to visit the U.S.-Mexico border. The suspect was identified as Ronald Lee Syrvud, from Benson. It’s in the same county where Trump was visiting Thursday afternoon. The sheriff’s office didn’t describe the alleged threats. But it said he was also wanted on several outstanding warrants.
