BIMSTEC Summit postponed by new Thailand Prime Minister due to technical issues

Thailand's new Prime Minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, has postponed the BIMSTEC Summit scheduled for September 4 in Bangkok due to cabinet formation issues. PM Narendra Modi will not travel to Bangkok but is expected to visit Singapore on September 5 to engage with the new PM Lawrence Wong. Several memorandums of understanding are anticipated to be signed.
