Williamson County debuts 'I Voted' sticker design contest for 2024 election.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- Middle school students in Williamson County have a unique opportunity to leave an impact on this year's election -- without even being able to cast a ballot.

The Williamson County Elections Department announced Thursday the county's first-ever "I Voted" sticker design contest. The contest is open to all middle school students in the county, and the winning design will be used as the official "I Voted" sticker for this year's election.

Participants must agree to the official rules of the contest and submit their design by completing the “I Voted” Sticker Contest Entry Form, “I Voted” Sticker Contest Consent Form and use the “I Voted” Sticker template that is available on the Williamson County website.

All submissions must be sent via email to ivotedstickercontest2024@wilco.org, mailed or submitted in person to the Wilco Elections Sticker Contest at 301 SE Inner Loop, Ste. 104, Georgetown, by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20.

Once all participating designs are submitted, a first, second and third place design will be selected by a panel of judges from the Williamson County community. Judging will be based on the "artistic skill, theme and uniqueness of the design," according to the elections department.

“The Williamson County Elections Department is excited to extend this contest to Williamson County middle school students and continue to encourage youth involvement in the electoral process,” said Bridgette Escobedo, elections administrator, in a release.
