Bido takes the mound to even the four-game set
The Oakland Athletics take on the Tampa Bay Rays this afternoon at the Oakland Coliseum. This is the fourth and final game of the series. After taking the first game 4-0, the A’s have dropped the last two, but hope to tie up the series with a victory today. Oakland remains tied for fourth with the Angels but have fallen 4.5 games back of the Rangers.
Osvaldo Bido will get the start today for the Athletics. The 28-year-old righty is 4-3 this season with a 3.40 ERA in forty-five innings. He’s appeared in twelve games and has made six starts. He’ll go up against 31-year-old lefty Jeffrey Springs for the Rays. Springs is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in just four starts this season. He was activated July 28, 2024, after spending the majority of the season rehabbing from last year’s Tommy John Surgery.
