Incredible tons from Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel guided Pakistan to a mammoth total of 448-6 against Bangladesh before they decided to declare their innings. The visitors closed out the second day on 27-0 in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

Rizwan’s unbeaten 171 was his highest score in the format while Shakeel’s knock of 141 was equally brilliant as the duo lifted Pakistan innings which at once, was struggling at 16/3.

After the end of play on Day 2, Bangladesh batting coach David Hemp hoped his batters could match their opponents.

“It’s a pretty good batting pitch and we hope it continues like this. Our batters need to match Pakistan’s batters, and we need to get closer to Pakistan’s total,” Hemp said.

The 240-run stand between Rizwan and Shakeel saw the Bangladesh bowlers get decimated, and they didn’t get much help either from the Rawalpindi track.

In his fabulous knock of 171, Rizwan hit 11 boundaries and 3 sixes while Shakeel hit 9 boundaries in his amazing knock.
