PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland isn't alone in welcoming restaurants, cafes and bars all year-round. Plenty of new eateries have popped up in Vancouver since mid-August 2022 alone.

Willamette Valley Vineyards

With multiple locations throughout Oregon, Willamette Valley Vineyards expanded to Washington nearly two years ago in late August 2022. Its Vancouver tasting room and restaurant offers views of the Columbia River, as well as Pacific-Northwest-grown food and wine pairings.

Pho Family

Pho Family is one of the newest additions to Vietnamese comfort food in the Vancouver area. Outside of pho, its menu features salad rolls, pot stickers, coconut shrimp and more.

7 Restaurant

This Eastern European eatery near the waterfront offers authentic Bosnian dishes, including the grilled beef sausages known as “cevapi.” The family-run restaurant also serves beer, wine and desserts such as baklava.

Tiny Tasties

Asian-inspired drinks, treats and snacks are on the menu of this recently-opened cafe, Tiny Tasties. Its options range from Vietnamese iced coffee to crepe cakes to waffle corn dogs.

El Viejon Taqueria Y Mariscos

With two locations in the Vice Beer and Fortside Brewing Company parking lots, El Viejon Taqueria Y Mariscos serves tacos, burritos, quesadillas and other flavorful Mexican cuisine. “Fresh, locally sourced ingredients inspire our unique twist on traditional Mexican dishes as well as some very untraditional creations,” owners said on the website.

Sushi Ninja

Since opening in October 2022, Sushi Ninja has received rave reviews for its fresh sushi, portion sizes and good service. Some of the restaurant’s most popular items are the Salem roll, sesame balls and gyoza.

Short & Sweet

Short & Sweet boasts the “best bánh mì in town,” but also serves mochi donuts on the weekends and bubble tea. It offers multiple flavors, including strawberry matcha, taro milk and green apple.
