KERRY Katona could hardly contain her excitement after her eldest daughter Heidi smashed her GCSEs.

After collecting the kids from school in her bright green Lamborghini, Kerry said she “couldn’t be more proud” of Heidi’s results.

Sharing a video from the car, Kerry screamed: “We’ve just come out of the school, we’ve got our Molly with me and we’ve just got our Heidi’s results!

Molly, who Kerry shares with Westlife’s Brian McFadden, gave a huge smile and waved to her mum’s followers.

“I cannot be more proud than what I am right now, go on tell them what you got,” she urged Heidi, who was sat in the front seat.

The teenager picked up her results paper and wrote: “So I got five, six, five, seven, seven, seven, seven, seven.”

Fans flocked to congratulate Kerry and Heidi, with one writing: “Well done. Brilliant results xx”

“Well done to your baby girl, she’s beautiful and well done to you Kerry you’re one amazing mother,” said a second.

“So pleased for you bubs, not surprised Mum is so proud of you,” wrote a third.

Despite the impressive results, many of Kerry’s fans had a tough time understanding the new grading system.

The traditional A* to G grades were scrapped in 2020 and replaced with a 9-1 system amid reforms, with 9 the highest result. A 4 is broadly equivalent to a C grade, and a 7 broadly equivalent to an A.

In 2017 the grading system was overhauled so that instead of using letters as had been the tradition, students would receive a number 1-9.

2020 was the first time that all students received their grades with the new system after a few years of phasing it in.

“I don’t understand the numbers , in my days it was A B C , so can you tell me what they mean please ? Well done Heidi x” wrote one confused fan.

“Well done to Heidi!!! What’s a 7 though? (Coming from the age group who had A B C etc….” said a second.

“Sorry I haven’t a clue what the numbers are supposed to mean in my day it was A, B and C,” echoed a third.

LONG DISTANCE PARENTING

Molly’s appearance in the video comes after Kerry revealed she hadn’t seen her eldest daughter for almost a year.

The 22-year-old lives in Ireland with her dad Brian.

Writing in her latest OK! column, Kerry said: “Lilly and Molly are both coming home this week from Ireland for a visit and I can’t wait to have them back.

“I haven’t seen Molly in almost a year! We talk on the phone every single day, but she just hasn’t been home to visit in a while.

“Lilly is getting on great too, she’s really settled and has got a good job over in Ireland, I’m proud of her.

“It’s nice for me to see my kids flourish. I’ve done my parenting bit and now it’s their turn to live lives.”
