ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- A 46-year-old New Iberia man died in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday on I-10 near the Egan exit, according to the Louisiana State Police.
The crash claimed the life of Terrance Delahoussaye, police said.
Just before 6 a.m., Delahoussaye was driving a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on I-10 when he traveled off the roadway to the left and struck a guardrail, state police said.
Delahoussaye was ejected from the motorcycle. Although he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, he suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, police said.
Standard toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis.
The crash remains under investigation.
