Former athletic director and teacher at Wetumka High School arrested
WETUMKA, Okla. (KFOR) — Former athletic director and alternative education instructor at Wetumka High School, Brent McGee, was arrested on Wednesday for alleged multiple counts of sexual abuse to children.
According to a press release from District Attorney Erik Johnson, agents from District 22 Criminal Investigations Unit, District 22 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, and Hughes County Sheriff's Office arrested McGee following an extensive investigation over a several month period.
"This arrest is the culmination of a thorough and ongoing investigation. The exemplary collaboration between District 22 Agents and the Hughes County Sheriff's Office has been vital to advancing this case," said District Attorney Erik Johnson.
Johnson says that further updates will be provided as the investigation continues to progress.
Law enforcement officials are asking for anyone who has additional information on the case to come forward and to contact District 22 Chief Investigator Doug Parker, lead investigator of the case, at 580-332-0341.
