presents at library
Wildcare’s Animal Ambassadors program will visit the library on Friday.
The event is part of a three-program summer series featuring the San Rafael-based nonprofit’s nature van. The sessions aim to educate participants and will focus on waterbirds that frequent Richardson Bay.
The visit is set for 1-2:30 p.m. at the library, 164 Donahue St.

NOVATO
Motorcyclist injured
in crash with SUV
A motorcyclist suffered major injuries following a collision with a SUV in Novato, police said.
The incident was reported around 7 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of South Novato Boulevard and Lark Court.
Authorities said that the SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Lt. Sophia Winter said Wednesday that the cause of the collision is still under investigation. Alcohol was not considered to be a factor in the collision, the police said.

Robbery reported
at Ross Common
An unknown suspect allegedly robbed a person at gunpoint in downtown Ross. No injuries were reported.
The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of Ross Common and Redwood Drive. Authorities said that the victim was walking to her vehicle when the suspect exited a silver sedan and confronted her. He pointed a handgun at her and ordered her to surrender her tote bag. The suspect then grabbed the bag and fled in his car.
The suspect is described as a male who stands between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5-feet-7, with straight black hair wearing a “COVID-type” mask.
