Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index opens 0.61 pct higher

HONG KONG, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index climbed 106.62 points, or 0.61 percent to open at 17,497.63 points on Thursday.
