Don’t Blink During Blink Twice Trigger Warning
Amazon MGM Studios saw the fallout It Ends With Us is getting over its deceptively peppy marketing and said “No thanks.” The studio tweeted out the trigger warning ahead of Blink Twice’s premiere. “We are proud to finally share Blink Twice with audiences in theaters worldwide this week,” it reads. “Blink Twice is a psychological thriller about the abuse of power. While this is a fictionalized movie, it contains mature themes and depictions of violence — including sexual violence. This may be upsetting or triggering to some viewers.” The warning also directs viewers to a website with links to RAINN and No More, the same nonprofit Wayfarer Studios partnered with after the It Ends With Us backlash. Blink Twice, previously titled Pussy Island, stars Naomi Ackie as a woman who is whisked off to a the private island of a tech billionaire (Channing Tatum). Besides those rough details, very little has been shared about the film’s plot before its release. Blink Twice comes to theaters this Friday, August 23.
