Richard Simmons' Cause of Death Confirmed By His Family - Read the Statement

Richard Simmons‘ spokesperson has released a statement on behalf of his brother, Lenny, confirming the late fitness guru’s cause of death.

On Saturday (July 13), Richard passed away at the age of 76. It was confirmed that the day before his death, he suffered a fall. According to the statement, some recent falls did contribute to his passing.

Tom Estey, the spokesperson, shared a statement with People, “This morning, Richard Simmons‘ brother Lenny, received a call from the LA Coroner’s office. The Coroner informed Lenny that Richard‘s death was accidental due to complications from recent falls and heart disease as a contributing factor. The toxicology report was negative other than medication Richard had been prescribed. The Family wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support during this time of great loss.”
