India’s Former Fielding Coach now Appointed as Afghanistan’s Assistant Coach
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has appointed R. Sridhar as their assistant coach. Sridhar is going to be assisting the team during their near coming one-off test match against New Zealand and three-match ODI series against South Africa. Sridhar has a whole lot of experience in Indian domestic cricket. he has played 35 first-class matches and 15 List A matches for India. Sridhar has also served as Fielding Coach for Indian team in more than 300 international matches, including 2 ICC ODI World Cups and ICC T20 World Cups each.
Sridhar is a coach who is Level-3 certified, along with having extensive experience in coaching in various levels of Indian cricket. He previously served as both the Spin Bowling coach and Assistant Coach for Indian U-19 team. Sridhar also contributed to the NCA as an assistant coach for fielding and spin bowling.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board has appointed Sridhar as their assistant coach for their upcoming matches series against New Zealand and South Africa. The ACB has expressed their hopes stating that Sridhar will effectively do his work properly and potentially confirm a long-term contract with them in the future.
