Scots holidaymaker, 19, dies in horror plunge from Ibiza balcony as tributes paid to ‘brightest angel’
TRIBUTES are pouring in for a Scots student who tragically plunged from the sixth floor of an Ibiza hotel.
Emma Ramsay, 19, was partying with friends before falling from a balcony at the Hotel Vibra in San Antonio.

Scores of mourners have rushed online to pay tribute to the tragic youngster.
Emma’s heartbroken mum wrote: “My angel, Emma. I don’t even know where to begin.
“You are my daughter my best friend in the whole world and I am going to miss you more than words will ever express
“Rest in peace my sweet angel and sleep tight, mummy loves you so so much.”
St John Ogilvie High School Headteacher said: “We are shocked and saddened at the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of our former Head Girl, Emma Ramsay.
“Emma was an incredibly kind, hardworking, bright and talented pupil who contributed a great deal to our school community.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Emma will be missed and will forever hold a special place in our school.”
Colette Watson, Headteacher at St Mark’s Primary in Hamilton said: “Emma was a lovely girl, caring and considerate and many of our staff have truly fond memories of her time with us.
“This is terribly sad news, and our thoughts, prayers and profound sympathies go out to Emma’s family and friends.”
Best friend Niamh wrote: “Our Beautiful Angel. I’ll be forever grateful that I get to call you my friend.
“You’ll be forever young my girl, never goodbye just a see you later.
“The biggest ray of sunshine to walk the earth and the biggest blessing heaven has ever received.”
The Civil Guard continued to investigate yesterday and an autopsy has yet to take place.
A spokesman for the force said: “I can confirm a 19-year-old British tourist has died following a fall at a hotel in San Antonio in Ibiza.”
A well-placed police source added: “Everything is pointing to this being a tragic accidental fall.”
An Foreign Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British woman who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
She is the second Brit to fall to their death in the Balearic Isles in a matter of days.
On Saturday morning a 28-year-old British holidaymaker died in a 15ft fall at a hotel in Palmanova near Magaluf in Majorca after a night out partying.
The dead man’s partner had to be treated for a panic attack later in the day.
