Formerly The Windmill, Jeremy has now rebranded the pub under a new identity[/caption]

Before Jeremy took over, the establishment was known as The Windmill, although it has since rebranded.

A newly set up Instagram account reveals the pub’s name to be The Farmer’s Dog.

Fans reckon they know Jeremy’s inspiration for the name choice, as one commented: “Knew you’d get dog(ging) in the name somehow.”

Another queried: “Owned by a farmer and placed on a former dogging site was the inspiration?”

It comes as Jeremy left fans in hysterics after revealing a cheeky find he’d made on the pub’s site.

The presenter shared to his 8.3million followers: “Tell me you’ve bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site,” while holding up what appeared to be a pair of well-worn knickers.

Seeing the funny side of Jeremy’s discovery, a viewer wrote: “This is terrible! Please tell me the exact location, time and dates so I know to avoid missing it…”

While another joked: “New name for the pub Jeremy The Dog Inn.”

Someone else quipped: “Sorry Jez, left them behind last night.”

A fourth remarked: “My new local. Can’t wait.”

Viewers already love Jeremy’s exploits running the popular Diddly Squat Farm, as shown on hit Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm.

Meanwhile, Jeremy’s efforts with his new venture will feature in the next series.

A source previously said: “Viewers love following Jeremy and Kaleb Cooper at Diddly Squat so obviously it felt like a bit of a no-brainer to film their work on the pub as well as at the farm.

“Filming of series four is underway now but all the details are to be ironed out soon.”

Meet the cast of Clarkson's Farm

Clarkson's Farm began streaming in 2021 and follows Jeremy Clarkson and his team managing Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds. Here's a 'who's who' of faces in the Clarkson's Farm cast.

  • Jeremy Clarkson: Presenter and journalist; also known for Top Gear, The Grand Tour and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
  • Lisa Hogan: A former actress and Jeremy’s partner, who assists in the running of the farm shop.
  • Kaleb Cooper: A young farm worker from Chipping Norton, who forms a double act with Jeremy on-screen. He’s later promoted to farm manager in series three.
  • Gerald Cooper: Specialist in the construction and maintenance of dry stone walls and the farm’s “head of security”. Of no relation to Kaleb.
  • Charlie Ireland: Nicknamed “Cheerful Charlie”, a professional land agent who advises Jeremy on land management.

Meanwhile, the Farmer’s Dog first Instagram post revealed the pub’s opening as Friday, August 23 at 12pm.

Its new-look logo features a fox-red Labrador, much like Jeremy’s own dogs Arya and Sansa.

The pub isn’t tied to a brewery, allowing the star to sell his own beer and produce from his farm at the venue.

Series one to three of Clarkson’s Farm are streaming on Prime Video.
