West Bengal rape-murder: Revisiting a still-unsolved case from 2007 that had shaken India in similar manner

Dr. Kavita, a senior resident at ESI Hospital in Delhi, was found unconscious in September 2007 with signs of sexual assault and attempted murder. Initial suspicions of suicide turned into a full investigation due to public outcry. After remaining in a coma for seven months, Kavita died in April 2008, weighing only 15kg.
