J-K Assembly polls: Reasi district magistrate orders licensed weapons to be deposited

Ahead of the September-starting Assembly elections, Reasi's District Magistrate directed licensed weapon holders to deposit their firearms at local police stations. Exemptions include security personnel at banks and ATMs. The first phase will cover 24 assembly seats, concluding with counting on October 4. Nomination withdrawal for the first phase is due by August 30.
