Jamie-Lynn Sigler is celebrating her son finally being released from the hospital.

Earlier this month, the 43-year-old The Sopranos actress took to Instagram to reveal that her 10-year-old son Beau, whom she shares with husband Cutter Dykstra, had been diagnosed with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM).

ADEM is a “rare kind of inflammation that affects the brain and spinal cord, usually in children. It damages the coating that protects nerve fibers, called myelin,” according to WebMD. While symptoms may be severe, they can be treated.”

On Friday (August 16), Jamie-Lynn shared a video celebrating Beau being released from the hospital after more than a month stay.

Keep reading to find out more…“After 33 days, we are busting out of here! My brave boy, you are a walking miracle. The rest of this story will be Beau’s to tell, if he chooses to one day,” Jamie-Lynn wrote along with a video of Beau proudly walking out of the hospital as the staff cheered him on.

“Thank you to the INCREDIBLE staff at Dells Children’s Hospital,” Jamie-Lynn wrote. “The way you take care of your patients and the way you guide their families through the process, I just don’t have enough words. I’m in awe of your patience, dedication, and expertise…. But, no offense.. I hope we never see you again ✌️Thank you all for the love and prayers. They worked. ????????????”

Along with Beau, Jamie-Lynn and Cutter also share 6-year-old son Jack.

In her first post from earlier this month, Jamie-Lynn opened up about finding out about Beau‘s diagnosis.

“My Beau ❤️. 4 weeks ago, what seemed like a normal virus for our son, turned into a nightmare. Beau has what we believe to be, ADEM. To say this has been hard, is an understatement, and I’ve never felt more broken. But, I have also never felt more love,” Jamie-Lynn wrote along with a selfie with Beau. “The way our friends and family have come to our rescue during this terrible time has been one of the most incredible things to experience. Maybe I could receive it because it wasn’t for me, it was and always will be about Beau. The power of love, community and prayer is so real. While we are still very much in it, I am left with so many questions and uncertainty. I was held by one of my dearest, Christina Applegate, as I decided to share what we’ve been going through on this weeks @messypodcast, for many reasons.”

“As a mother, I needed an outlet. I needed to get this story out of my head to understand it’s not a dream, that’s it’s real, and I am also just desperate for advice and information,” Jamie-Lynn continued. “If anyone has had experience with ADEM, I would love to hear from you. The doctors nurses, and therpaists have been INCREDIBLE here, and we have the highest of hopes for our son that he makes a full recovery, but we also know that whatever life turns into, we have a f–king army around us, and we will be ok. Thank you to everyone , you know who you are. I will never be able to repay you for the way you have held us and supported us.”

She concluded, “And to my husband Cutter, your patience and strength during this has been unparalleled and to our other son Jack, while you are only 6, the way you just ‘got it’ and turned into a care taker for your brother with each hospital visit reminds me of the beauty in this world. ❤️ Thank you for letting me share, even if I’m super ‘messy’ about it.”
