National Park Service awards Oklahoma over $500K in federal preservation grants
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — As part of the Save America's Treasures program, the National Park Service is awarding over $500,000 in total grant funds to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation and the Philbrook Museum of Art.
The Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation is receiving $89,428 from the NPS to fund the digitization of videotape collections covering the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.
The NPS is also sending $466,767 in grants to the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa for safety and security upgrades to the museum's native collection.
The NPS awarded just over $25.7 million in grants during this round of grant funding for the program.
Applications for the next round of the Save America's Treasures Grant Program will open in fall 2024, with $25.5 million in funding available.
