The Hamilton Cycling Club offers a weekly ~15km time trial series, along with a monthly 20/40km time trial. It is a great way to test your fitness and see how fast you can go! Time trials are also great for riders who enjoy pushing themselves, but are hesitant to be part of a peloton.
Why should someone join your club?
Someone should join our club if they love time trials, or like to push themselves. It is also a great place for the person who needs that weekly event for motivation to keep their fitness level up. The great thing about time trials is that it is a race against yourself. So, it doesn’t matter how you compare to others, you just get to see how you track from week to week, and year to year!
What advice would you give to a cyclist looking to join a club?
Clubs are a great way to meet like-minded cyclists that will increase your friend and ride group! If you are unsure if you are a good fit for the club, reach out and people are generally very friendly and supportive of new members. As long as you go into joining any club or group, being open to learning and possibly improving fitness, then you are bound to have a good time!
