Spotlight is on agriculture at Washington Co. Fair
GREENWICH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Washington County Fair has everything you'd expect: a Ferris wheel, a rollercoaster, and lots of food stands. Animals are a focal point of the festivities, as it seems you can't turn a corner without encountering one of the barns.
“All the animals that you see here are actually from Washington County, which I think is very unique to us," said Rebecca Breese, Co-Fair Manager, "I think it comes down to community and tradition."
Tuesday at the fair is Military Appreciation Day. All veterans can access the fair for half-price admission at $6.
The Washington County Fair runs through Sunday, August 25.
