Amsterdam man accused of attempted murder
AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Amsterdam Police Department has arrested an Amsterdam man who is accused of attempted murder. Adan Guzman-Rodriguez, 23, faces multiple charges.
Charges
- Second-degree attempted murder
- Second-degree assault
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
Guzman-Rodriguez is accused of attacking a victim who sustained multiple stab wounds and lacerations to the body and head. Police were notified of the victim going to Saint Mary's Hospital on Thursday at around 12:25 a.m., prompting an investigation.
The victim has been treated for their injuries and released from the hospital. Guzman-Rodriguez was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and placed in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail.
