I live in council home despite earning £20k a month – people call me bad mum as I ‘packed vapes in my kids’ lunch boxes’
A MUM who earns £20,000 a month and lives in a council house says people brand her as a bad mother because she packed vapes into her kids’ lunch boxes.
Whitney Ainscough was struggling to make ends meet two years ago on Universal Credit but now is making a fortune thanks to her social media channels.
The mum-of-three living in Rotherham makes between £10,000 and £20,000 a month due to her online profile where she is known as itsmebadmomm.
Whitney’s often funny videos depict all sorts of things from family life to weight loss and her favourite shopping buys.
Just on TikTok she has notched up 376,000 followers.
Her fortunes have drastically taken a turn for the better in the past 12 months and nowadays she can afford foreign holidays as well as a new Range Rover.
The 31-year-old has also splashed out on weight loss surgery which has helped her lose an impressive seven stone, getting the body she has always wanted.
Whitney has now set herself up as a legitimate limited company and gets swamped with offers from clothing and other brands all wanting to work with her and feature on her channels.
She said: “I started off just making funny packed lunch videos and went viral straight away.
“My daughter asked me to join TikTok but I wasn’t sure why, there just seemed to be so many perfect parents on there so that’s why I decided to become badmom.
“I wanted to be myself, make people feel better and show life’s not always perfect.”
She added: “I get a lot of hate online – I don’t care. Without working online I wouldn’t have got my operation.
“I feel so much more confident in my looks now and lots of clothing brands want to work with me.
“I can work around my three children and give them an amazing lifestyle.
“We get a lot of luxuries – so far we’ve been on holiday twice this year, I’ve bought a Range Rover for cash and am hoping to get a mortgage soon too.”
The platform came about after she started sharing her lifestyle claiming benefits back in 2022.
When putting on a livestream on TikTok, the mum-of-three clocks up hundreds of likes just by dancing around in her kitchen wearing a dressing gown.
And when the likes and comments hit over 1,000, she knows she’s rolling in cash.
That’s because – thanks to the TikTok creators’ fund and associated advertising deals – each view means cash.
Whitney previously told Fabulous that she’s on track to make over £200,000 in 2024 – something he proudly says is “more than twice what the Prime Minister earns”.
“All I do is muck about on TikTok and social media for a couple of hours a day – it’s a total joke,” she added.
“I used to be on Universal Credit and getting by on £1,200-a-month.
“Now, I can earn that in just a day while people watch me on social media.
“I even make hundreds from posts about what I eat for dinner.
“It’s hilarious the Prime Minister has to work more than a 100 hours a week.
“I am set to earn double that on social media, winding up trolls and dancing in my kitchen.”
While building up an army of fans she has also picked up some severe critics too, labelling her as a bad mum.
In one jokey TikTok video she is seen preparing a packed lunch for her kids, complete with a pieces of garlic bread from a takeaway, crisps, a can of Pepsi Max, peanuts and a vape pen.
Whitney though has insisted the video was a joke and not to be taken seriously.
The mum currently lives in a two-bedroom council house with her boyfriend, three children and two dogs.
But she is desperately hunting for somewhere new as the family have “no room to breathe” in their current home.
She viewed a four-bedroom house up for private rent in June that she described as “literally perfect”.
However, the landlord offered the property to somebody else.
