Longines Launches Two Two-Tone Spirit Flyback Chronographs

With two new executions in stunning bicolor-combinations, Longines picks up on the success of the Spirit Flyback Chronograph that was first introduced in stainless steel in March 2023 and expanded with a titanium version in the fall of last year. Marrying steel with 18-carat yellow gold and pink gold elements crowns, pushers and bezel rims, the cases have a diameter of 42mm and are water-resistant to 100 meters.

It is hard to say which of the two new iterations is more impressive. Channeling the clarity and instrumental design of a veritable pilot’s chronograph with a bicompax layout and a soupçon of vintage charme, they feature beautiful dials in matte green and brown. The subtle earth tones provide a stunning backdrop for the applied Arabic numerals that rise above them and, like the hour and minute hands and the tip of the central chronograph seconds hand, are coated with Superluminova Old Radium for perfect nighttime readability. The five stars, a hallmark of the collection indicating the high quality and reliability of its movements, are not to be missed.

Speaking of movements: The Spirit Flyback Chronograph is powered by the exclusive Longines caliber L791.4 with a power reserve of up to 68 hours. A COSC-certified chronometer, it is equipped with a silicon balance-spring and innovative components that make it highly resistant to magnetic fields exceeding the ISO 764 reference standard.

A transparent case-back reveals the high quality of the finishing and its yellow or rose gold oscillating weight engraved with the globe, the emblem of the Longines Spirit collection.

Both models are available with green or brown leather straps to match the color of the dial. Each is equipped with a double-security folding clasp with micro-adjustment system.
