LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Lake George Arts project is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its Jazz at the Lake music festival. The free, three-day festival runs from September 13 to 15.

"As we celebrate 40 years of bringing world-class jazz to Lake George, we are incredibly proud to present a lineup that reflects the festival’s rich history while also pushing the boundaries of contemporary jazz," said Tanya Tobias, Executive Director of the Lake George Arts Project. "Jazz at the Lake has always been a cherished tradition, and this year's event promises to be our most unforgettable yet."

The performances take place at Shepard Park and various locations throughout Lake George. The village has waived all parking fees that weekend for Jazz at the Lake attendees, said the Lake George Arts Project.

The festival kicks off with Cocktails & Jazz on September 12 at 6 p.m. The invite-only event features the Carlos Jimenez Jazz Quartet. Attendees must RSVP and names may be added to the waiting list if additional spaces open up.
