Man carrying gas can runs from Bronx arson; 2-month-old injured: sources
SOUNDVIEW, the Bronx (PIX11) – A 2-month-old baby was injured in an arson in the Bronx early Tuesday morning, sources told PIX11 News.
The fire broke out in Soundview around 2 a.m. Six vehicles were burnt, as well as a front porch, according to authorities. Citizen App video showed cars burning in the street as firefighters moved quickly to put out the flames.
A man wearing a blue shirt was seen running from the scene while holding a gas can, according to sources.
The infant suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, sources said. The baby was conscious and alert, according to sources.
