Heartbroken Love Island star reveals she caught boyfriend cheating just weeks after going public with romance
LOVE Island star AJ Bunker has been left heartbroken as she revealed that her boyfriend ‘cheated’ on her.
AJ told The Sun in June said she was smitten with her new boyfriend after he swept her off her feet following a series of romantic dates.
But the boxing star, 31, has now shared that she has split from the businessman after finding out he was “cheating on her with his ex”.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the Magic Mike Summer Gala, AJ said: “I’m very single, I had a boyfriend and found out he met with his ex behind my back, lied to me about a lot of stuff.
“And I caught him…I turned up to his house on a day that we were meant to have our date and caught him on loudspeaker…you can’t write this stuff.
“I caught him on loudspeaker talking about another woman.”
AJ then called on Love Island bosses to sign her up for the next series of All Stars, which returns in January with a new batch of iconic ex Islanders.
She continued: “I’m very single, All Stars take me on and help me find love.
“I haven’t heard anything so far, but guys I’m calling out to you…I need to find love.”
The unlucky-in-love star then took a swipe at her recent exes – branding them “scum”.
“Since Love Island I’ve had nothing but such bad scummy men, just such bad men,” she added.
“Whether I go on All Stars or not, I hope I can find true love one day.
“I’m in my 30s now, do you know what I mean?”
“I feel like once you’ve been hurt, you’re so scared to put yourself back out there, but it’s just all about putting yourself back out there and enjoying it and hopefully my Prince Charming will come along.”
The reality star, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2021, said she had enjoyed a three month romance after her friends told her to give dating apps a go.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun back in June, AJ said: “I’m with my boyfriend – finally, we’re on our honeymoon period. It’s been three months now.
“We met actually on Hinge. My best friend forced me onto Hinge.
“I box now and I don’t go out and she said I need to start dating and made my profile with me.
“And over winter time, I was looking through and didn’t expect much and he just came along.”
The TV beauty gushed: “He’s treating me good. The last guy I dated was a pathological liar. So it’s so far so good, it’s also our first three months – so we’ll see, I feel like this is when the real stuff happens.”
A source previously told The Sun: “AJ looked in high spirits all night, she was spotted with a hunky mystery man and the pair looked very cute.
“They were together all night and just looked happy to be in each other’s company.
“It was lovely to see AJ find happiness.”
AJ didn’t find romance on Love Island and admitted she was gutted to enter the villa only to find out her crush Brad had already been sent home.
The star was sent home from the villa in a brutal dumping.
AJ had been coupled up with Hugo Hammond, but he had made it clear that he wasn’t interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with her.
