35 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza

0

Al Jazeera reported that at least 35 Palestinians were killed on Monday due to Israeli air and ground attacks, according to medical sources in Gaza.

Palestinian officials also stated that hospitals in Gaza are facing a severe shortage of medication and equipment. The report mentioned that nine of the deceased were killed in Israeli airstrikes on a UN-administered refugee camp. Additionally, 11 children in a hospital in northern Gaza are at risk of death due to a lack of medical supplies and facilities.

The Health Ministry under Hamas control in Gaza has reported that since the onset of Israeli attacks last October, 40,100 people have been killed in the strip.

The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, by Israel in Tehran has significantly escalated tensions in the Middle East. This action has sparked widespread condemnation and heightened conflict in the region, with violent clashes and retaliatory strikes becoming more frequent.

Efforts by intermediaries, including Qatar and Egypt, to broker a ceasefire have intensified in response to the worsening situation. Qatar and Egypt have been actively involved in negotiating peace talks and seeking to de-escalate the conflict.

However, the challenges of reconciling the differing demands of the involved parties and the ongoing violence have made these efforts difficult.
