The major supermarket has slashed the price of a range of toys including frisbees and jump ropes.

One shopper shared several images of the toys on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

They also posted the caption: “Most toys under 50p at Asda!”

Fellow bargain hunters were quick to tag their pals in the comments to share the deals.

Another commented that they’d be perfect for Christmas presents.

They wrote: “Great for the Xmas shoeboxes.”

Among the toys on offer is the Hapello skipping rope set for just 25p – down from £1.

One set includes one jump rope and the online description says it can be used anywhere at home or outdoors, plus it’s easy to grasp and carry.

The website also says the toy is seven inches long and is recommended for ages 36 months and up.

Another bargain toy on offer is the Hapello Ring Flyer which is on offer for 50p instead of £2.

Asda’s description says that the frisbee-style toy is a “must-have for the beach, park or any open space”.

It’s made from durable, high-quality materials, and is said to withstand hours of play.

The toy is available in three colours and is suitable for ages four years and up.

The Hapello Bubble Wands have also had a huge price cut and are now scanning for just 30p instead of 60p.

They contain around 118ml of bubble solution and come in four assorted colours.

Asda says they’re suitable for ages three years and above.

The offers on all the toys appear to be available both in-store and online.

Of course, if you’re ordering on the website though make sure to factor in delivery charges.

You can find your nearest store by using the locator tool on the supermarket’s website.

However do bear in mind that when prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so availability will vary from store to store.

It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

It always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

Other Asda bargains

Customers are racing to the supermarket’s aisles to nab a huge six person tent that’s been marked down by a staggering £85.

A shopper shared the bargain on Extreme Couponing and Bargains and astonished Facebook users are rushing to snap up the camping gear.

She wrote: “ASDA BARGAIN! If you’re like me and you’re after a bargain for camping; £115 down to £29.75!

“Can’t wait to use it! Storm just wanted to model it for you all.”

The adorable post featured her black cat perched on top of the holdall that contains the huge six-person tent.

Asda shoppers have been rushing to the supermarket to buy a stylish homeware item that’s scanning at tills for just 60p.

Throws in the George Home range, which measure 120cm x 150cm, have been put on sale for just 60p.

The low price has been spotted at a store in Barnstaple, Devon, the shopper said.

It comes days after chocolate fans discovered an iconic bar is scanning for only 20p at tills.

Shoppers were rushing to their nearest Asda supermarket to snap up the bargain after the popular chocolate bar dropped in price by more than 75 per cent.

The huge discount on the legendary Snickers bar sent savvy chocoholics wild in Scotland.

It was first shared on social media by one lucky shopper who said she found the 20p bars in her local Asda in Kirkcaldy.

The average price for an individual Snickers is 85p in many UK supermarkets – marking a major discount.

How to save money on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
