Police respond to shooting at OKC hotel

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Police continue to search for a suspect after a man was shot in the leg outside an Oklahoma City motel.

The shooting happened shortly after 4 p.m. at the Days Inn on I-40 and Meridian. Police responded to the scene and found the man on the south side of the building.

Witnesses told News 4 two women and a man got into an argument with the shooting happened. Officer say the man hit by gunfire is stable at an area hospital and not cooperating with police.

Investigators taped off the motel for several hours, collecting evidence, even bringing two puppies from a hotel room and handing them over to animal control.

Nearby businesses told News 4 crime in the area has become a problem and they have seen scenes like Monday's play out far too often.
