Yukon HS responds to alleged practice in extreme heat
YUKON, OKLA (KFOR) — A concerned parent sent KFOR News 4 an email worried some high school kids are being forced to practice outside in extreme temperatures. It reportedly happened during a basketball practice at Yukon High School.
The school district confirmed it did happen and was addressed immediately.
They sent a statement to KFOR regarding the incident.
Yukon Public Schools is aware of the allegations regarding one of our coaches having his players practice in extreme temperatures. The incident did occur and was addressed immediately. The coach has been provided with the WetBulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) monitor to prevent anything like this happening in the future. No one was injured or put in any sort of danger. Water and breaks were provided for all athletes.

The OSSAA told News 4 they sent an email before school started addressing how to handle fall practices and heat.
