Kolkata Doctor Rape Murder Case: The Supreme Court (SC), led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file a status report on the ongoing investigation into the alleged rape and murder of a postgraduate medic at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The case is a suo motu matter, meaning the court has taken it up on its initiative. The bench also includes Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra.
