Pinole man killed in motorcycle crash
PINOLE – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash over the weekend in Pinole, police said.
The solo-vehicle collision happened around 8 p.m. Saturday on San Pablo Avenue near Oak Ridge Road, according to the Pinole Police Department.
The motorcyclist – identified as Colin Batchelder, 46, of Pinole – was pronounced dead at the scene.
An initial investigation revealed Batchelder was traveling eastbound on San Pablo Avenue when he hit the curb west of the intersection with Oak Ridge Road, police said.
Batchelder lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle, which came to rest near the St. Joseph Parish Center.
It was not immediately known if speed, alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
