'It's not fair': Trump launches latest gripe about Kamala Harris' entry into 2024 race

As Democratic delegates gathered for the launch of their convention in Chicago Monday, and less than an hour before he was expected to speak about the economy at a Pennsylvania event, former President Donald Trump unleashed his latest attack.

Trump complained that the Democratic Party had invoked the "first ever 'Coup' in America," and that he has been forced to fight against two contenders in the presidential election instead of just one.

He was referring to Biden's stepping down last month after a lengthy campaign, and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement as his party's presidential nominee.

Biden was expected to take to the stage Monday night on the opening evening of the convention.

Trump took to Truth Social to complain about what he saw as a major injustice.

"The Democrats staged the first ever “Coup” in America. Crooked Joe Biden was told, “Sorry Joe, you’re losing to Trump, BIG, and you can’t beat him - You’re Fired," he wrote.

"So now, for the first time in American history, I’ll have to beat TWO Candidates, the second being a Radical Left Marxist, Comrade Kamala Harris.

"It’s not fair, perhaps even another form of Election Interference, but the good news is that she should be easier ... to beat than Crooked Joe in that the USA will never allow itself to become a Communist Country. THE DEMOCRATS ARE, “A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY?”
