The 20p hack to stop your cowboy boots grating on your skin – it’s ideal if you’re heading to Taylor Swift at Wembley

WHAT girl doesn’t love a fun cowboy boot to complete her outfit?

Whether you’re at a hen do, the Eras Tour, or a music festival, they have become the staple shoe for a night out.

A simple hack can ensure your cowboy boots stay comfortable all night with no chaffing

Fashion brand Ego shared a helpful hack for ensuring your boots stay comfy all night.

Anyone who has ever rocked a pair of cowboys with a skirt or dress likely knows the inevitable chaffing that can occur on your calves.

The longer you wear your boots, the more heat becomes trapped in them.

This can cause the material to rub up against your skin, causing discomfort.

The friction can also result in a squeaking sound every time you take a step.

According to Ego, there is a budget-friendly solution for this exact problem.

The experts recommended sprinkling a small amount of talcum powder inside your boots before putting them on.

You can pick up a bottle of Sainsbury’s Little Ones Baby Powder for just £1.50.

And an entire bottle will go a long way since you only need a small amount for each wear.

The trick also helps to absorb the moisture inside your boots, meaning they’ll smell fresher for longer.

Talcum powder helps to keep the skin dry, making it a staple for preventing chaffing.

So if you are attending one of the final two Eras shows in Wembley and plan on wearing cowboy boots as part of your ensemble, it might be worth a quick sprinkle first.

Since nobody will be able to see the product, feel free to use it as liberally as you want.

You can apply it directly to the footbed of your boots as well as to the sides of the leg.

Use a clean cloth to rub it directly around the edges of the interior material.

Is Taylor Swift's Eras merch worth the price tag?

AHEAD of going to see Taylor in action, Fabulous Digital Writer Leanne Hall weighs in on whether the merch is really worth the price tag:

“As a 29-year-old Swiftie who made it to the top 0.1% of Taylor listeners on Spotify last year, you could say I’m very excited to see her on the Era’s Tour in London later this month.

“With the three-hour long set list,  there’s no surprise Taylor was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year and fans lucky enough to get tickets know they’re about to watch the concert of the century.

“The Eras Tour catapulted the singer/songwriter into the billionaires club, and it’s no surprise when some UK tickets were going for almost £700 a pop.

“While tickets were expensive, her merch isn’t far off what most artists price their stuff at, and I for one will be spending hundreds to get my hands on sweaters and T-shirts from the tour.

“While £70 for a hoodie would make me think twice if I was shopping in a store, this isn’t a regular hoodie.

“Yes, you’ll look fabulous heading to the shops in it, but it’s also a piece of the day you get to keep forever to look back fondly on, and for me and many other Swifties, no price tag can match that.”

Don’t forget to turn your boots upside down before putting them on to avoid a mess when you take them off.

You can use a damp cloth to wipe them down if any excess powder covers the exterior of your boots.

Ego hyped up the cheap and cheerful fashion hack to their Instagram followers.

They demonstrated the technique with a pair of black boots with white embroidered detail.

“Guaranteed comfort, babe,” they wrote in the clip’s caption.
