Retail sales grow a mere 2% in July

Retail sales across India grew by a modest 2% in July 2024 compared to 2023, as per the Retailers Association of India. West India saw the highest growth at 3%. Food and grocery segments registered the highest increase at 6%. There is a need for strategic measures to boost consumer demand and attain sustainable growth.
