RYLAN Clark has been hit with a huge blow after his Amazon Prime Video reality series Hot Mess Summer has been axed after one series.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that bosses have pulled the plug on the show despite hopes it could become the next Geordie Shore.

The raucous show featured a group of British singletons hoping to live it up on the party island of Zante after believing they had been flown out for the ultimate summer of partying.

However, they quickly discovered they would be tasked with running a bar and serving other partygoers as opposed to being the ones sinking shots themselves.

Rylan provided a watchful eye over the contestants as they managed to break just about every rule put in front of them for the Prime Video show but it has already come to an end after just one series.

A source told The Sun: “Unfortunately, with Rylan’s jam-packed schedule and Prime Video’s upcoming slate, there aren’t plans for another series as it currently stands.”

Show chiefs had hopes the show could become a summer staple and rival hits such as Love Island and Ex On The Beach but have struggled to make time to commit to another incarnation of the show.

The booze-fuelled reality show saw the eight wild and free Brits tasked with running the VIP bar in the chance of winning some cash – with a total prize of £60,000 up for grabs.

As well as keeping his beady eye on them, Rylan was forced to deliver tough feedback from guests who often had less than complimentary things to say about the clueless Brits aiming to keep the bar under control.

Speaking earlier this year about his role on the show, Rylan said: “My job isn’t to discipline, my job is to encourage them and make sure they’re enjoying it.

“But my biggest vice is being too nice to people. I get on with everyone, and it’s only if you f** me off that we’re done, because I’ve got a sting in my tail.

“Maybe I need to be more of an a***hole.”

Although Hot Mess Summer won’t be seen on screens again, Rylan has managed to find himself surrounded by a bunch of single hunks in a sun-drenched villa once again with another reality series on a rival streamer.

The TV host’s latest venture, the controversial Dating Naked UK, is set to kick-off this week on Paramount+.

Contestants on the show are completely exposed by stripping off all their clothes with host Rylan being able to ogle their bits as he pleases.
