'This is huge': Trump-loving piece of Florida said to be 'taken over' by Harris campaign

Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign saw some positive movement in a traditionally pro-Donald Trump section of Florida, and onlookers were amazed.

In July, Raw Story reported that the Villages, a Florida area known for being a "hotbed of Trump support," was seeing a bump in enthusiasm for Harris. At the time, there were numerous golf carts filled with seniors campaigning for the would-be first woman president.

On Sunday, a similar visual took hold, with a group called "Kamala’s Wins" reporting that the area had been "completely taken over by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign."

"This is a remarkable turnaround," they added along with a video of the development.

Karol Molinares, who works for Harris' communications team, said, "The Villages is out in full force for Team Harris-Walz."

"We expect over 500 Florida seniors today to join in on some fun activities and sign up to volunteer to canvass and phone bank!" Molinares added.

Victor Shi, part of the Youth Team for Harris-Walz, also chimed in:

"Whoa. Over 500 people are at The Villages in Florida right now taking action for Kamala Harris & Tim Walz. This is huge."

A former Republican who goes by "VillagesLady" added her perspective, as well.

"We were there! Everyone was excited to support Harris-Walz. What a great day."

Singer Bill Madden said, "Like I said y'all, The Kamala Harris and Tim Walz takeover is happening in Florida."

"The Villages was once a Trump - MAGA fascist stronghold. But that was then — and THIS IS NOW!!" he added.

Democrat Harry Sisson was also shocked.

"WOW!!! Look at all of these folks who turned out for VP Kamala Harris in the villages today! Remarkable. There’s a movement happening all around the country. VP Harris has the momentum!"
